DG PASTIC attended 4th Pak China academic forum

Director General PASTIC, Prof. Dr Muhammad Akram Shaikh took part at 4th Pak China academic forum on Scientific Technology and Economic Cooperation under the “Belt and Road”  held on 9 Nov, 2019, at Beijing, China.

DG PASTIC attended 4th Pak China academic forumThe 4th Pak China academic forum was organized by Pakistan Study Centre at Beijing Technology & Business University (BTBU) Beijing China.The Forum was attended by hundred and fifty participants including Academicians of various top class Universities and Editors of the top quality Journals and students from China and Pakistan.

The main objective of the forum was to provide a platform to the participants to exchange/share expertise/knowledge and discussions on latest S&T research publication resources and provide opportunity to develop linkages for collaborative activities among various organization under CPEC “Belt and Road Initiative”.

DG PASTIC, Dr. Akram Shaikh delivered a Key note Speech at the Forum. In his speech he emphasized on the importance of strengthening the China- Pakistan bilateral cooperation in science and Technology sector under the “Belt and Road Initiative”.

He also highlighted the Govt agenda for development of Science and Technology including building Pakistan’s technological competences in the 21stcentury, strengthening of technology institutions, and enhancement of the capacity of indigenous innovation systems, development of a larger pool of human resource for reverse brain drain and integration of soft technology infrastructure into hard modern technological bases.

Director General PASTIC also visited the Institute of Scientific and Technical Institute (ISTIC) China and Beijing Association of Science and Technology. During the meetings with the Presidents of both organizations, opportunities of mutual collaborations with PASTIC were discussed.
