PMYAP announce Start-up Pakistan Program to train youth in tech sector

Prime Minister Youth Affairs Program (PMYAP) announced “Start-up Pakistan Program” which will run under the “Kamyab Jawan Program”.

Prime Minister Youth Affairs Program has taken multiple initiatives for the development of the youth population of the country. They introduced the largest undergrad scholarship program in Pakistan’s history kamyab Jawan Program and Youth Empowerment Card.

According to details, Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) will get funds for the expansion of Business Incubation Centres (BICs) under this program to provide hands-on experience in the latest technologies to more than 100,000 students. 

HEC will use that fund to train 500,000 students for entrepreneurship and it would also use some funds to produce 5,000 graduate startups from different HEC recognized universities through Business Incubation Centres (BICs).

National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) will also provide training to 500,000 students for entrepreneurship and cover 300 technical training centres across the country through blended incubation.

The government will engage with overseas Pakistanis from developed countries who are technology geeks and entrepreneurs under Start-up Pakistan Program. They will help to train the youth for new technology, entrepreneurship, and market reading.
