Aerospace Engineer from Pakistan Dr. Sarah Qureshi developed a Pollution free engine for airplanes to facilitate in reducing the global warming as well as creating artificial rain.

Aerospace Engineer Dr. Sarah Qureshi from Pakistan developed Pollution free engine for airplanesSarah Qureshi completed her bachelor’s in Mechanical engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology and got Masters degree in Aerospace Dynamics as well as a PhD in Aerospace Propulsion from Crandield University, United Kingdom.

Dr. Sarah Qureshi said in her recent interview that she has launched a company called “Aero Engine Craft” to make environment friendly airplane engines with her father Masood Latif Qureshi who is also a Scientist and a Physicist.

The engine which she has developed has an idiosyncratic pressure-based condensation system which will help in cooling the water vapours in the airplane exhaust. The water will be on the airplane and can be released as rain if required.

Dr. Sarah Qureshi is also a certified Aerobatic pilot. She designed with her team a revolutionary contrail-free aero-engine with added features of reduced carbon footprint, in a bid to counter global warming.

She revealed that her project has won two international patents and will take at least six years before it is commercially available.

She emphasized that air pollution is equally dangerous for the environment as land pollution.

She informed that the country’s private sector has taken an environment-friendly initiative for the first time, which will globally highlight Pakistan’s role in the fight against global warming.
