Delegation from Macquarie University Australia visits NUST

Delegation comprise on two members from Macquarie University Australia has visited NUST Islamabad campus.

Delegation from Macquarie University Australia visits NUSTA video was shown to the visiting delegation for explaining and introducing NUST as a research led university which is well contributing towards the achievements of goals in the field of Science and Technology.

 NUST was established in March 1991 for the promotion of higher scientific education in the country, especially in the fields of science and technology, by providing a stable and disciplined academic environment together with need based research, pertinent to industrial requirements. The University was granted its Charter in 1993. Over the years, the university has expanded in scope, services and stature and has emerged as a leading comprehensive University in the public sector.

NUST proudly holds 246th place among the top 500 world universities from 54 countries in CEOWORLD Magazine Best Global Universities Ranking. NUST is the only Pakistani university that featured in this prestigious Ranking in 2019.

The video session was followed by a discussion session where areas of mutual cooperation like student exchange, faculty exchange, joint publications, joint research and joint supervision of postgraduate students were discussed.

NUST also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Macquarie University Australia to construct an academic relationship between NUST Business School (NBS) and Macquarie Business School.

Afterward, the delegation also had an interactive session with Principal NBS, faculty members and Focal Person of Internationalisation from NBS.

The visiting delegates expressed their thanks for facilitating their visit in NUST and admired the opportunities provided for NUST students and faculty members.
