Chinese-nuclear-power-plant-sets-world-record-for-safe-operation

Ling’ao Nuclear Power Plant’s Unit 1 in south China’s Shenzhen City has been running smoothly without unplanned interruptions since March 2005.

It’s part of the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant Base that started its commercial operation in 1994 and has been operating safely and steadily ever since. March 15, 2020 marked 5,000 straight days that the nuclear plant has been operating safely, which is 15 months longer than a French generator unit, the second on the list.

Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant’s Unit 1 in east China’s Shandong Province completed its first fuel replacement and overhaul, and was successfully connected to the grid on February 28.
