Corona Helpline started on WhatsApp in seven languages available in Pakistan

The government of Pakistan has launched a Corona Helpline in seven languages available on Whatsapp for helping citizens up to dated with the latest information on the Coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Citizens can get Coronavirus related information, latest statistics and information regarding the nearest labs by sending a ‘Hi’ to 00923001111166.

The Corona Helpline is available in seven different languages, English, Urdu, Punjabi, Pashto, Sindhi, Balochi and Kashmiri for Coronavirus awareness in a country.

Answers questions about novel coronavirus, its symptoms, ways to protect yourself, risk assessment, educative videos made by the health ministry and shares information about nearest labs for the Covid-19 test. The helpline also provides daily figures for confirmed cases in Pakistan.

Earlier this month, Pakistan had launched a chatbot to address common concerns and give information regarding the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak.

Head of the prime minister’s ‘Digital Pakistan’ initiative, Tania Aidrus said in her statement that initiative was taken to provide authentic information to the citizens of Pakistan.

Tania Aidrus said in a tweet that “our team wanted to build an effective way to get information out to Pakistanis. We have launched a chatbot to address common concerns on related to Coronavirus. You can find labs located near you and even do a quick test to assess your risk of #Coronavirus. Please try it out!”
