Contrary to the misleading rumors Khyber Medical will continue coronavirus testing

While talking to the media person VC of Khyber Medical University said that he is very proud to lead a dynamic team of young scientists and researchers. He said that team is very dedicated and hardworking and has made immense strides in enhancing the SARS-Cov-2 testing capacity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Starting from a small number of 40 tests per day to 1000 per day, the highest in the country, in one month.

Talking about the staff VC KMU said, it is just possible due to the dedication and hard work of scientists, faculty members, molecular biologists, microbiologists hematologists, pharmacologists, and pathologists, who carry out the complex job of RNA extraction running PCRs and reporting.

Aptly supported by other faculty members doing registrations, quality checks, verifications, uploading, and communicating the results to the health department.

However, the backbone of our team is a very capable well trained & highly qualified team of technologists/technicians and support staff, working 24/7 in 3 shifts.

It would be remiss if I did not underscore the immense support of the Govt of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is the trust shown by the KP Government that bucks us up to keep going and excelling in these challenging times.

I just want to re-iterate KMU’s commitment to the cause of fighting COVID-19 in the best way we can, by continuing the excellent work of PHRL and further strengthening the Corona testing capability of the lab.

“I re-assure everyone that contrary to the misleading rumors, the KMU PHRL will continue to work at its full capacity, resting only when we have finally beaten the contagion”, precisely said by Vice Chancellor.

He urged that may Allah helps us in helping our nation in combating the corona pandemic.
