Accessibility of the internet must be improved in rural areas: President
President directed the Ministry of Information Technology to improve the accessibility of the internet in rural areas of Pakistan.
President Dr. Arif Alvi coordinated the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (IT and Telecom) to improve the accessibility of the internet in the rural areas and try to find out innovative and technological solutions in order to meet challenges.
According to the press release, the president was heading the gathering of the board of trustees on rising advancements at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
Featuring the noteworthiness of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), the President said it could assume that ministry has immense potential of improving the national economy, trade, exports, instruction, wellbeing, administration, development industry, farming, and other significant segments.
The ICT assumed a noteworthy job during the current COVID-19 emergencies as the advances quickened the digitalization of numerous organizations and administrations, including internetworking and video conferencing frameworks all through the work environments, access to social insurance, instruction and other fundamental merchandise and ventures, he included.
