Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training is going to launching a two-way SMS system for Tele-school coming week to improve communication with the public.

According to the sources in ministry of education, the SMS system has been designed in collaboration with Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), National Technology Council (NTC), and other telecom companies.

The main target of the SMS service will be to enhance quality of the Tele-school, improve communication with parents and the public through SMS system, he added.

The steps were drawn under the Prime Minister’s vision of Digital Pakistan Reforms.

They said that the initiative was being taken as the Education Ministry was interested to achieve digitization of the education system in Pakistan.

Teleschool was winning appreciations not only in Pakistan but abroad as well, they added.

In post COVID-19 world, they said, such steps will help to increase access education for large number of students.

Everyone should give feedback on Teleschool initiative, the sources added.

President Dr Arif Alvi said that the teleschool was the best and easiest way to give education to the students in the difficult time of COVID-19

Dr Alvi observed that the tele-school project was a valuable project, which would enable the students to get an education while staying home in the current lockdown situation.

Through the online education, the students could fully absorb the lectures, which was not possible for them in the classroom.

He said in the present lockdown situation, the world had gone ahead of the distance education.

It was also necessary to gauge as to how much the children were learning from the online education, and how it would help them save their time, he stressed.

President Alvi appreciated the steps taken by the government to bring improvement in the education sector. It was a matter of satisfaction that the provinces had also been taken on board on the matter.
