Quaid-I-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad has been ranked at 454 among the top 500 leading universities of the world in 2020

Quaid-I-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad has been ranked at 454 among the 500 leading universities of the world in 2020 by a world university rankings institution, The Times Higher Education. 

In the last 15 months, QAU magnificently improved its position from 511 to 454 globally while it is ranked 79 in the best universities in Asia continent.

QAU has lifted the status of Pakistan internationally as it is the only university of Pakistan which secured a position being ranked among the top 500 leading universities worldwide by all the best ranking agencies such as world times ranking, QS ranking and United Nations times and world news ranking agency.

QAU spokesperson also marveled at the excellence of the university. He congratulated all the devoted students, the hardworking staff, the innovative alumni, faculty members and the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali.

Muhammad Ali was given special credit for being a strong leader who made the university to make success spanning borders.

“We hope that under the visionary and dynamic leadership of Prof Dr Muhammad Ali and with the efforts and contribution of faculty members, students, staff and alumni, the QAU will further improve its ranking at international level”, he added.

At last, he requested the government, the ministry of education and Higher Education Commission (HEC) to distribute especial funds to the best performing university- QUA of the country, so it can lift its status and be enlisted in the top 300 best universities on the globe.
