Fans-speculate-Call-of-Duty-Modern-Warfare-season-4-could-go-live-today

After announcing a delay last week, there are rumours suggesting the new season of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare season 4 could be dropping as early as Wednesday

There has been a certain lack of communication from Activision regarding the new Warfare season 4, which given the game’s subreddit, has certainly angered people.

It seems highly unlikely that Activision would drop a huge seasonal update – which is supposed to add Captain Price to Warzone – without giving players a confirmed date first.

But this hasn’t stopped people from speculating a surprise release could be happening today, Wednesday, June 10.

After postponing the season launches last week, Activision and Infinity Ward were vocal about supporting movements like Black Lives Matter in the wake of the George Floyd protests.READ MORECall of Duty creators want to crack down on racism in-game

It added a Black Lives Matter splash screen to the game which pops up frequently and promised to crack down on racist player names, but since then we’ve heard nothing from Activision.

The latest speculation and rumour of the surprise launch is coming from ModernWarzone on Twitter.

“Looks like @ Vikkstar123 knows something that the rest of us DON’T about # CallOfDuty # ModernWarfare # Season4 ,” Tweeted ModernWarzone.

“He states he has a video coming out tomorrow, & that’s all he can say without getting in trouble. Then says he’s probably ALREADY in trouble”

The original live stream linked in the Tweet is an unlisted video and we know that streamers do get access to these updates early so they can plan content around it ahead of launch.

It seems likely @Vikkstar123 could well be referring to the launch of season 4 here, but it seems all we can do is wait.

There is no official word on the update for Call of Duty and the above may simply be fan speculation.

In the past, Infinity Ward and Activision have been vocal on when the game’s new content will be drop, so it seems unlikely for it to drop a new season in such a manner.
