Fans Call On PTA To Unban PUBG For Growth of E-Sports Industry In Pakistan

Following a temporary ban on Wednesday placed by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority on popular online game PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds), players stormed Twitter to register a protest, calling on PTA to rethink its decision.

Waqar Zaka comments on demanding unban PUBG said:

They called for a focus on mental health awareness instead, and for a better understanding of the esports industry which has the potential to lead to large earnings and laurels for the country.

Commenting on PUBG ban a lover Khan fahad tweets: If there parents can’t change there kinds mindsets then why are they blaming a video game which is rated for +16 ..! Shame on those parents who are blaming pubg because of there kids immaturity.

Another user Muslims Need A Leader wrote: Instead of making e-commerce and e-sports a part of Pakistan’s basic education so that our children can make Billion Dollar games like PUBG instead of being servants, we stopped the game. But they are happy just by dancing. #DigitalPakistan #UNBANPUBG

The gaming community denotes PUBG as a sign of tolerance and compassion, a game beyond caste in which if a teammate is injured, the other player does not start making a video of the injured person like you, restores it, bandages it. And if he doesn’t have medicine, he also provides him with first aid kits. We do not look at the country of the injured, their religion or creed.

We are friends of friends and enemies of enemies. If someone says don’t kill me, we join it and if someone shoots at them, we consider it shooting at ourselves.

There is precise healthy discussion about this game.

Highlighting the parental guidance of the game the fan mentioned:

A support mentioned that PUBG was the escape for the youth from depression. Reason for banning: Increased suicide rate. Like job unemployment, job rejection, Burden of education doesn’t cause depression. Inko btao k PUBG ban krne suicide rate km nhi hoga #unbanpubginpakistan🤬😡 #unbanpubgforyouth #unbanpubg
