The United Nations General Assembly decided September 16 as World Ozone Day in 1994 and a Montreal Protocol was signed between 45 countries to save the ozone layer. Every year, World Ozone Day is celebrated across the world on September 16.
The theme for World Ozone Day 2020 is ‘Ozone for life’. This year people will celebrate 35 years of global ozone layer protection. The slogan reminds us of how important it is to keep the ozone layer safe for our health and a better future.
