WCCI Inks An MOU With NSU For Promoting Skills Among Women
This visit was followed by the signing of an MOU between the WCCI Lahore division and the NSU for promoting skills education in the country, mainly focusing on female youth.

A delegation of the Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Lahore Division) led by Ms. Rukhsana Zafar, President of the Chamber, visited different laboratories of the National Skills University Islamabad.
She was accompanied by Dr. ShehlaJavedAkram, CEO of the Don Valley- a pharmaceutical manufacturer, Mr. ZartashiaUmer, from Zee Creations – furniture and home accessories manufacturer, Ms. Faiza Nabeel and Ms. Qaisra Sheikh.
This visit was followed by the signing of an MOU between the WCCI Lahore division and the NSU for promoting skills education in the country, mainly focusing on female youth.
The Lahore Women Chamber will work with the NSU for aligning institutional resources fulfilling much needed economic empowerment of women across the country.
Both parties agreed to conduct joint summits, conferences, workshops, panel discussions, webinars, and awareness sessions mutually beneficial to train women in programs like documentary and short filmmaking, E-commerce, social media marketing, healthcare assistants, and several others.
During the deliberation session, it was realized that a skilled workforce is an urgent need for small and medium-sized enterprises, and the National Skills University can play a crucial role in short-term training and reskilling of women employees already working.
