“When we started we were just tiny little companies, and you know here we are, probably roughly $600 million in revenue and 2,300 employees,” company president and CEO Chris Adams told 3News.

With its 16th and largest acquisition, Park Place Technologies acquired tech company Curvature, and they did it amid a global pandemic.

“We started that conversation probably about a year ago and it started moving along,” Adams said. “Then COVID hit, and we had no idea you know how to get through a deal in a pandemic.”

They did get through it, and expanded their global reach. They now support assets for more than 90% of the Fortune 500.

“We’ve got field engineers all over the world,” Adams gushed. “We have customers in 154 countries.”

While you may not deal directly with Park Place Technologies, businesses in your day-to-day life probably do: Locally, they work with University Hospitals, KeyBank, Sherwin-Williams, and American Greetings, to name a few.

Pandemic or not, jobs in the field of technology aren’t going anywhere. Park Place Technologies has relationships with local universities to recruit students and offer internships.

“I was working on my masters at Case,” marketing operations lead Eric Richardson said. “I came on board working part-time during my classes.”

Two months into his internship, Richardson was offered a full time job.

“As Park Place has grown and acquired more companies, I’ve been able to grow as well,” he said.

We also talked to Peter Spachner, who was hired right out of college. He’s been with the company for 12 years.

“I graduated from John Carroll, started with the company in a role of business development associate, you know, making a lot of cold calls,” he remembered. “Now I am a senior director for the division.”

Park Place Technologies has plans to add about 200 jobs here in Northeast Ohio over the next 12-18 months. The company boasts some attractive perks, like a fully-equipped gym, a yoga studio (in non-COVID times), and a full-time barista.

Employee appreciation drives the culture at park place, Adams says, and so do its Cleveland roots.

“We built it here,” he added. “The headquarters is definitely here, and it’s staying.”

Park Place Technologies is also working to bring diversity into their workforce, including more women in tech jobs. They’re also dedicated to helping our communities, as Adams serves as a board member for the United Way of Greater Cleveland and Breakthrough Schools.

Park Place Technologies doesn’t only offer careers in the tech industry; they also have jobs in sales, accounting, marketing, customer service. and more. Anyone interested can check out job listings and find out more about the company on their website.
