IQOO 7 With Snapdragon 888 And Triple Rear Cameras Announced

iQOO has just unveiled its newest flagship smartphone in China, the iQOO 7. The device is the company’s latest 5G device and boasts of features like an all-new Snapdragon 888 chipset, support for 120W fast charging, and a 120Hz refresh rate display. What’s more, continuing its partnership with BMW motorsports, the company has a special variant of the device for motorsport fans, which incorporates the signature BMW stripes.

iQOO 7: Design and Display

The iQOO 7’s features a curved design on the rear. Its back has a square camera module that houses the triple camera array, organized in a triangular arrangement. Right below the camera housing, the rear has a flash and the iQOO branding. Moving to the front, the phone has a 6.62-inch FHD+ (AMOLED) display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate and includes support for HDR10+.

iQOO 7: Performance

At its core, the iQOO 7 runs on Snapdragon 888. The Snapdragon 888 is Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, built on the 5nm process, with up to 2.84GHz of clock speed and an Adreno 660 GPU to handle all the graphics processing. The processor is coupled with 8GB / 12GB of (LPDDR5) RAM and 129GB / 2656GB of (UFS 3.1) storage. To power the internals, the device packs in a 4000mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging technology. As for other specifications, the iQOO 7’s comes with 5G (SA / NSA), dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5, and NFC. It includes a USB-C port and has an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication. Moreover, the device has stereo speakers and support for hi-fi audio. On the software front, it runs on OriginOS based on Android 11.

iQOO 7: Camera

In the camera department, the iQOO 7’s comes with a triple-camera setup on the rear, arranged in a triangular fashion, within a square housing. The setup includes a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture and OIS + EIS, accompanied by a 13MP 120-degree ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a 13MP portrait lens with an f/2.46 aperture, OIS, 2x optical zoom, and 20x digital zoom. On the front, there is a 16MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

iQOO 7: Pricing and Availability

The iQOO 7 comes in two variants: 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB, priced at 3798 CNY ($586) and 4198 CNY ($647), respectively. It will go on sale in China starting January 15
