Tech tycoon and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is getting closer to a breakthrough in yet another industry. The man who privatized space travel and made electric cars sleek is now beaming internet service down from the ether. SpaceX’s Star Link internet service is now accepting pre-orders on line. Star Link provides an internet connection using an array of satellites. According to the company’s website, Star Link is available to a limited number of users per coverage area on a first-come, first-served basis. The company says initial beta service is now available both domestically and internationally USA today reports that the hardware for setup costs $499.00 and the service itself goes for $99.00 a month.
