China is on the verge of waging a technology and innovations return against the United States, as revealed on its five-year plan that would focus on improving artificial intelligence and quantum computing tech. The country is planning to return to the scene with its five-year innovation plan to “get back in the scene” with the country.

The Asian country has been a long-running rival and partner of the United States in producing massive technologies from various companies like Apple, Intel, Microsoft, and the like. Most components are made via China’s factories and plants which offer less of the production costs compared to the country, essentially cutting costs and saving up.
However, the tension between the two countries has tightened in the past years, as the United States has enforced a Trade Ban on several Chinese companies including Huawei because of military connections.
This issue was repeatedly denied by Huawei but has been banned from using components and tech from Google and Qualcomm, which it heavily relies upon.
China’s Five-Year Plan in Technology: AI, Quantum Computing
According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, China’s yearly party meeting to discuss the next moves of the company, detailing a five-year plan of innovations and tech development to catch up to the US. Moreover, the country aims to focus its development on massive enterprises such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing
Before this news, China is known to have been developing a hack-proof quantum computer that could send messages like electronic mail and video calls using next-generation technology. The tech heavily relies on satellites to boost its power and quantum computing which has been the focus of most researchers to develop.
Artificial Intelligence is also a significant thing in China, as it aims to assign ZTE in creating the country’s native AI that could power most of its technology and end its reliance on the United States. Huawei would also join the five-year plan’s timeline, helping the country develop and advance in various technologies such as smartphones and computers.
China’s Present Tech Innovations
The Asian country has been developing a collection of impressive innovations in the past years, and it includes robotics, artificial intelligence, and now, 5G connections. The move by the country is to move away from its heavy reliance on partner countries such as the US and be a self-sustainable entity in the current era of technology.
Moreover, the company has also ventured into various industries in which the US excels, and this includes electric vehicles, AI, and the smartphone technology which Huawei has initially dominated. Technology is one of the largest industries in the world, and China is aiming its sights on developing in this aspect to establish its supremacy.
