MG Motors will be opening its pre-booking for the MG ZS EV targeting the latest government EV policy.

Quite possibly the most long-awaited Electric Vehicle (EV), the MG ZS EV is finally available for its pre-booking. According to the official social media update from the automaker itself, the price of the MG ZS EV is also revealed.
This is by all accounts a pondered move from MG Pakistan, as we are only a couple weeks from the presentation of the 2021-22 budget just as that of the EV policy for 4-wheeled vehicles. In spite of the fact that, notwithstanding the advantages and impetuses of the EV policy which will be presented by the government, the purchasing cost of the awaited E-SUV is genuinely steep.
At first, some reports suggested that the ZS EV will cost somewhere near Rs. 6.5 million. Nonetheless, it was later revealed by Hanif Memon, owner and editor in chief of the Monthly Automark Magazine, on a social media post that the E-SUV will be priced at Rs. 6.85 million.
The MG ZS EV is a sub-compact crossover electric SUV that was launched globally in 2018. The car features a 44.5 kWh battery and an electric motor installed over the front axle of the car. It generates 350 Newton meters of torque and powers the vehicle with 140 hp. The vehicle does not have many competitors in Pakistan as there are not many popular electric cars in the country. The MG ZS EV will be first of its kind in Pakistan. However, in the international market the car goes up against Hyundai Kona, Kia Stonic, Nissan Juke, Dacia Duster, and other comparative sub-conservative hybrid SUVs. In Pakistan, the car can only be competed on the basis of its features and not on the power. Its competitors will be hybrid as well as petrol fueled vehicles
Subtleties are still to be uncovered on the off chance that we will get a CKD version of the vehicle or a CBU. The official sale date is also not revealed yet. The new auto policy and EV policy will soon be presented by the government. The fans are anticipated by the launch of electric vehicles in Pakistan and MG being the first brand to launch their EV in the country, can prove to become the pioneer of EV industry in Pakistan.
