Honor now has a new flagship line of smartphones. The company’s share of the Chinese market has already jumped from three percent to 14.6 percent since the tech provider gained its independence from Huawei in November of 2020, and believes that the new HONOR Magic3 Series will drive continued growth at home and internationally.

The Magic3 Series includes the baseline Magic3, the Magic3 Pro, and the premium Magic3 Pro+. They will retail for €899, €1,099, and €1,499 respectively, though all three will debut in China before eventually making their way to other markets.

As for features, all three smartphones are built with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus 5G Mobile Platform, which offers strong AI computing capabilities. The phones offer support for biometric authentication through a 3D ToF Tech front camera that allows users to unlock their phones with facial recognition.

Other highlights include a low-latency engine, an Anti-aging Engine, and a Smart Memory Engine, all of which are realized with OS Turbo X and enable the phones to run more apps simultaneously.

The phones also boast GPU Turbo X graphics acceleration tech, which minimizes power consumption and boosts overall performance of games and other applications. In that regard, the Magic3 Series leverages Wi-Fi and cellular networks in conjunction with one another to achieve extremely fast download speeds of 6.1Gbps.

As for the design, the phones have ultra-thin bezels and 10-bit Super Curved Displays that support HDR10+ certification. They all offer IP68 water and dust resistance, though the Magic Pro+ is slightly more durable thanks to its Nano Crystal Shield and Nano Ceramic body.

It also has the best camera setup, with a 64MP Monochrome Camera, a 50MP Wide Camera, a 64MP Ultra-Wide Camera, and a 64MP Periscope Telephoto Camera. However, all three use HONOR’s Image Engine to improve photo quality, and can capture video footage in 4K HDR. The three omni-directional microphones, meanwhile, ensure that that footage will have good sound.

Previous HONOR smartphones have featured fingerprint sensors from both Goodix and Fingerprint Cards. The company’s HONOR 9X Pro and View 30 Pro smartphones came with Kirin chipsets when they were announced in February of 2020.
