In a bid to provide relief to the masses, the government on Tuesday announced it has designed Energy efficient devices that may result in a reduction in electricity bills by up to 60%.

Speaking to the media, Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz said that the government has developed cost-efficient electric fans, water motors, and other devices.

“The use of electric fans and other devices developed with the latest technology will reduce the consumption of electricity by 40% to 60%,” said Faraz.

The minister said that earlier, electricity was wasted but now water motors made with the new technology will perform better, as well as use less electricity. Consequently, it will lead to a significant reduction in electricity bills, he said.

He said that the saved electricity could be utilised in industries and other sectors, adding that energy-efficient devices have been manufactured on the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has stressed that people should benefit from technology.
