Facebook has launched its flagship skill development program ‘Rise’ in Pakistan to help advertising agencies and marketing professionals develop new and contemporary skills for professional success and fulfillment.

Initially launched in Brazil in 2020, Rise has now grown to 18 countries across 4 continents to supplement global efforts for economic recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic by empowering and up-skilling the advertising communities across these markets.

‘Rise’ was launched in Pakistan in an online ceremony led by Jordi Fornies, Director for Emerging Markets at Meta (formerly Facebook), with representatives from Pakistan’s advertising community, industry leaders, Facebook’s Authorized Sales Partner (ASP), students and faculty of leading universities, bloggers, and influencers in attendance.

Speaking at the launch, Reseller Partner Manager – Meta, Ali Khurshid Ahmed said, “Rise is created to help the advertising community in Pakistan to continue their journey of personal growth and professional development by developing new skills, hone old ones, or even completely pivot their careers.”

Simply put, a marketer’s job is to explain a company and its services or products to the public. A marketer should also be able to explain the needs and interests of the target market to the company. A successful marketer is one who can increase a company’s income by driving sales. Advertising is one branch of marketing, but there are others. Public relations, customer support, market research, and more are all part of the field.

In the past, marketing often proceeded on the basis of intuition and personal experience, but today marketing frequently involves collecting, analyzing, and acting on huge amounts of data and also integrates the very latest in psychological research.Facebook

Marketing is a form of professional communication since it consists of communicating to the public why they should buy or otherwise engage with whatever is being marketed. Often, this will take the form of writing, from crafting ad copy to creating scripts for TV spots or phone conversations. It might involve creating multimedia campaigns,Facebook understanding design, and having a general sense of who the end user is and what they want.

Verbal communication is important as well, both for positions that involve speaking directly with potential buyers and those that do not. Since marketing is often a team effort, marketers must be able to communicate effectively within their own team and within their company.
