TEVTA chairman shared several success stories of digitalization educational programs empowering women for earning their livelihood and futuristic programs on artificial intelligence.

An eminent scholar and advisor on the global labor market Prof DDr habil Klaus Oestreicher, currently serving as President at Nyangani Virtual University, Harare, Harare, Zimbabwe, delivered a lecture in the National Skills University Islamabad ESSS2022 (Emerging Skills Seminar Series 2022). Mr. Ali Salman Siddique, Chairperson/CEO TEVTA Punjab, was the chief guest and Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah Vice Chancellor Karakoram International University (KIU), Gilgit Baltistan as the guest of honor.

In his inaugural address, the TEVTA chairman shared several success stories of digitalization educational programs empowering women for earning their livelihood and futuristic programs on artificial intelligence.

Vice Chancellor KIU invited Prof. Oestreicher to present on “Higher Education and Digital Skills – Challenges in the 21st Century”. In his keynote presentation, he articulated a critical analysis of artificial intelligence and the future of human beings. Prof. Oestreicher outlined those realities of the computer world which are challenging our social behaviors.

He lamented that the IT world has brought us on the verge of demolishing social values as people sitting in the same home communicate through messaging over their phones. According to him, choices lie with us either adopting artificial intelligence that tells us what to do or human perceptions should keep prevailing. Prof. Oestreicher concluded his presentation to balance two types of CSRs: Computer Science Reality (CSR) and Collective Social Responsibility.

Prof Oestreicher showed his university’s strong commitment to work with the National Skills University Islamabad to further digitalization assimilation in skills education.
