China produced 480,500 scientific papers classified as “excellent” in 2021, an increase of approximately 17,000 over the previous year, according to an official report released on Thursday.

According to a report released by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information under the Ministry of Science and Technology, approximately 211,300 of the papers were published in international journals.

Excellent scientific papers, according to the report, are those published in international and domestic scientific journals with high impact factors and citations. According to the report, the number of excellent scientific papers in eight fields, including clinical medicine, chemistry, environmental science, electronics, and biology, will exceed 20,000 by 2021.

According to Zhao Zhiyun, the institute’s director, China has seen a steady increase in the number of excellent scientific papers and is publishing an increasing number of papers in leading domestic scientific journals.

The Institute of Scientific and Technical Information (ISTI) is a research institute that is affiliated with the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. ISTI is responsible for the collection, organization, and dissemination of scientific and technical information within China and internationally.

The number of scientific papers produced by a country can be an indicator of its research and development efforts and capacity. China is a major player in the global scientific community and has made significant contributions to a wide range of fields in recent years.

International journals are scientific or academic publications that are published in multiple countries and are widely distributed around the world. These journals typically cover a wide range of topics and disciplines and are intended for a global audience of researchers, scholars, and other professionals.

They are often published by professional societies, academic institutions, or commercial publishers, and they may be peer-reviewed or non-peer-reviewed. Many international journals are indexed in databases such as the Web of Science or Scopus, which makes it easier for researchers to discover and access their articles.

Publishing in international journals can be an important way for researchers to share their work with a wider audience and to have a greater impact on their field of study.
