Owners OF Brick kilns Penalize For Not Using Zigzag Technology

On the orders of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Shahrukh Niazi, action was taken against owners of brick kilns in Narowal district for failing to implement zigzag technology during the ongoing anti-smog campaign.

The Shakargarh tehsil brick kiln owners were targeted by the Assistant Director of Environment, who filed a case against one owner while sealing the other, according to official sources.

Similar cases were filed against the owners of three brick kilns in Zafarwal Tehsil, and one kiln was sealed for not converting to zigzag technology. Three brick kiln owners were also the subject of cases in Narowal Tehsil, and one kiln was sealed.

No one would be permitted to operate kilns in the district using any other technology, according to the deputy commissioner. Additionally, the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) impounded two smoke-emitting vehicles on Sunday, and a case was filed against the owner of another vehicle.

The brick manufacturing industry is indeed a major contributor to air pollution, particularly in developing countries where there may be fewer regulations in place to control emissions.

It is important for brick kiln owners to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and use cleaner technologies in order to reduce their impact on air quality and protect public health. If brick kiln owners are violating SOPs and using dirty fuels, it is important for authorities to enforce the regulations in place and take appropriate action to ensure compliance.

Zigzag technology is a method used in brick kilns to reduce emissions of pollutants, including particulate matter and carbon monoxide. It works by rearranging the layout of the kiln so that the bricks are heated in a zigzag pattern rather than in a straight line.

As a result, fewer pollutants are formed because the hot gases produced during the firing process can mix with the incoming air more effectively. The failure of brick kiln owners to use zigzag technology during an anti-smog campaign is causing air pollution in the area.

It is important for brick kiln owners to follow regulations and implement measures to reduce emissions in order to protect public health and the environment.
