TikTok Announces Scholarship Program To Award Online Study Grants

TikTok and Edkasa have announced a scholarship programme that will award online study grants to 18,000 deserving students from across Pakistan in order to increase access to quality education.

TikTok and edtech startup Edkasa have announced a scholarship programme that will award online study grants to 18,000 deserving students from across Pakistan, building on the success of the #ExamReady campaign launched last year.

TikTok announced a year-long collaboration with Edkasa and LUMS in September to launch a digital learning programme to facilitate online education and distance learning for high school students.

Over 500 educational videos covering chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics, as well as study tips and exam hacks, are available online as part of the #ExamReady campaign, which aims to assist millions of Pakistani students.

The educational videos quickly became a hit with Pakistani students on TikTok, garnering over 665 million views and nearly 100 million video creations since their debut. Teaming up with one of Pakistan’s premier institutions, LUMS, the duo will further cement the partnership by awarding students with two months of Edkasa’s free study material and access to an exam pack for whichever grade, board, or exam they opt for.

Online study grants can be extremely important for students who are pursuing higher education through online programs. The cost of online education can vary, but it can be expensive, and some students may struggle to pay for it. Grants can provide financial assistance to help cover the costs of tuition, fees, books, and other expenses.

Access to education Financial constraints can make it difficult for some students to pursue an online degree. However, with the help of online study grants, these students can gain access to educational opportunities that may not have been otherwise available to them.

Many online students are working, have family obligations, or live in remote areas. These individuals may find it difficult to participate in a traditional on-campus program. Online study grants can help provide the financial support necessary for these students to take advantage of the flexibility offered by online learning.
