Masood Advocates To Strengthen Tech Sector Ties Between Pak-US

According to Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Masood Khan, the Punjab-California Sister Province Agreement provides a model for tech sector of  Pakistan and the United States to establish domain-specific state-to-province and city-to-city economic ties. In Washington, DC, he said this to Irvine Mayor Farrah N. Khan.

The ambassador stated that Pakistan’s tech startups, led by enterprising youth, and Irvine, California’s vibrant tech sector, could strengthen strong partnerships to not only meet the two countries’ economic ties but also strengthen people-to-people exchanges.

Startups in Pakistan have tremendous growth potential, and by collaborating with established tech companies and entrepreneurs in California, they can gain access to valuable resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

This will aid in the growth and success of these startups. Partnerships between the two regions can also foster cultural exchange, allowing for a better understanding and appreciation of each other’s perspectives and business practices.

Farrah N. Khan’s leadership qualities and achievements, according to the ambassador, make Pakistan and the Pakistani diaspora in the United States proud.

He stated that Pakistani-origin Americans who have excelled in their respective fields are not only an asset to Pakistan but also an everlasting link between Pakistan and the United States.

Farrah Khan thanked the ambassador for her warm welcome and highlighted technology, med-tech, and artificial intelligence as major sectors in which Irvine was making significant progress.

Farrah Khan also highlighted the significant contributions of the Pakistani diaspora to the socioeconomic development of Irvine and the state of California.

The ambassador invited Mayor Farrah Khan to visit Pakistan with a business delegation to promote chamber-industry cooperation and strengthen people-to-people ties.

Establishing economic ties between specific regions, such as cities and provinces, could benefit Pakistan’s and the United States’ tech sectors. Collaborations on research and development projects, joint ventures, and the exchange of technology and talent are examples of this.

Both countries could foster mutually beneficial partnerships and drive economic growth in their respective regions by focusing on specific areas of expertise and aligning their strengths.
