The new Over-the-Top (OTT) platform SHOQ has been launched by Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), a division of e& (previously known as Etisalat Group), to offer all data users in Pakistan a more enjoyable and immersive viewing experience. In keeping with PTCL’s goal of enabling digital transformation for all, SHOQ maintains a rich repository of carefully chosen content that is open to all users.

President and Group CEO of PTCL & Ufone, Hatem Bamatraf, stated: “We are pleased to introduce Pakistan’s largest OTT platform to provide top-notch entertainment and news content to all data users. “We are thrilled to be part of the new chapter in Pakistan’s entertainment revolution,” said Olivier Bramly, CEO of evision.

As the biggest media and content aggregator in the MENA region, evision has always played a crucial role in the lives of its users. We are eager to collaborate with PTCL, especially in a market as big as Pakistan where there is a boom in streaming services and mass content creation that offers limitless opportunities to everyone.

We are grateful to PTCL for providing us with the chance to increase our influence and presence in Pakistan. During the launch event, Maaz Sheikh, CEO and co-founder of StarzPlay, made a statement.
