The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) and the nation’s embassy in Riyadh have announced that the “biggest ever” delegation of Pakistani businesses will attend the LEAP tech convention, which will take place in Saudi Arabia from February 6–9.

The Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh released a statement on Monday describing LEAP 2023 as a global tech convention that aims to unite the top businesses, innovators, and experts from around the world “to discover new ideas, build new partnerships, connect with inspiring mentors and investors, and tap into the limitless potential of tech to build a positive future.

In collaboration with the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), and P@SHA, 18 leading Pakistani IT and telecom companies as well as 10 startups will attend LEAP this year.

The businesses are active in the following industries: artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), block chain and cryptocurrency, robotics, 3D printing, space and satellites, biotech, quantum, fintech, 5G, open source, unmanned systems, and data services.

All visiting Pakistani businesses are assisted by the Pakistan Trade Mission in Riyadh, and Minister of Trade and Investment, has planned a number of business meetings and business-to-business sessions for the Pakistani delegates with the Riyadh Chambers, the Saudi Federation of Chambers, as well as significant Saudi IT firms.

In just FY2022, IT exports brought in $2.6 billion.
