Joel Noeh, Sashie Kumar, and Gerardo Salandra are some of the founders in whom DisruptInvest has chosen to invest. Noeh recently exited his startup, Fave, to become an investor; Kumar sold his fintech to an ASX listed company for A$10 million; and Salandra relocated from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur, believing Malaysia’s first world infrastructure and quality talent offered him the best chance to succeed. Salandra raised a US$7 million Series A last September.
DisruptInvest Summit is a premier event that aims to connect corporations and investors, as well as the startup ecosystem, to support and grow the next wave of winners. The keynote speaker is Raymond Hor, Partner at Indonesia-based regional VC Kejora Capital, who will share an early update on how the funding scene in 2023 is shaping up for startups.
Top executives from Capital A (President Aireen Omar), CelcomDigi (Chief Innovation Officer T Kugan), and Hong Leong Bank (Chief Digital and Innovation Officer Shalesh Grover) will participate in the panel “Corporate Innovation: What’s Working, What’s Not” to share their experiences as corporate venturing becomes a prominent theme in corporate Malaysia.
