The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmad was present when Mr. Sajid Latif, Director General (E-Governance) of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore on Tuesday. They met at the City Campus. In the interim, a lengthy meeting was held to discuss the creation of e-Rozgaar Center at UVAS with academicians and IT experts.

Participants included faculty, staff, representatives from (PITB), Principal Officer Students Affairs Prof. Dr. Kamran Ashraf, Director of the Information Technology Center Mr. Rizwan Saleem, and Mr. Rizwan Ashraf. Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmad served as the meeting’s chair.

The meeting’s goal was to give Punjabi university students from both the public and private sectors the skills they need to launch their own startups and businesses in accordance with the direction of the province’s governor and chancellor.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Sajid Latif said that e-Rozgaar Center at universities would offer students practical training and guidance for pursuing online opportunities, freelancing, and startups through the development of their potential and entrepreneurial skills for generating sustainable income.

Additionally, he demonstrated a willingness to offer UVAS any assistance or consulting services that might be required. According to Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmad, UVAS students have the best opportunity to learn about the most recent business trends, livestock marketing strategies, and various online business skills.

He claimed that such initiatives would be very helpful for students, not just in starting their own new businesses but also for a bright future, and they would reap the greatest rewards.

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore also observed “World Stray Animal Day” on Tuesday at City Campus. While Chairman Department of Pathology Prof. Dr. Asim Aslam, a number of faculty members, and students took part in the walk, it was led by Principal Officer Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Kamran Ashraf.

After passing through the city campus, the walk that started from the vice chancellor’s office ended in front of UVAS’s main lawn. The day’s goal was to increase public awareness of animal welfare standards of living and to encourage people to act humanely towards one another and stray animals by providing them with shelter and food.
