According to the MoU, research will be done on the topics provided by the PEF by research scholars, BS (Honors), MPhil, MS, and PhD students from the University of Education.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) and the University of Education (UoE) to work together on scholarly research aimed at enhancing the efficacy and efficiency of PEF’s educational projects.

The MoU was signed in the office of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha, along with PEF’s Managing Director Manzar Javed Ali, University of Education’s Director of External Linkages Dr. Muhammad Anwar, and PEF’s Deputy Managing Director (Operations), Qurat ul-Ain Memon.

According to the MoU, research will be done on the topics provided by the PEF by research scholars, BS (Honors), MPhil, MS, and PhD students from the University of Education. To ensure that researchers and students do not experience financial hardship while conducting research, the PEF will award grants.

The children attending partner schools linked to PEF programmes will benefit from a quality education thanks to this partnership between PEF and UoE.

Ali expressed his optimism for the MoU, saying that the collaboration will increase the effectiveness and efficiency of educational projects of PEF through research. According to him, this partnership will undoubtedly have a positive impact on Punjab’s education system.

A self-governing, statutory entity of the Punjab Government, the Punjab Education Foundation is governed by a 15-member board of directors (BOD), with a chairman chosen from among private members.

The Punjab Provincial Assembly passed a law in 1991 that created the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF). When PEF was reorganised in 2004, Dr. Allah Bakhsh Malik, a UNESCO Confucius Prize winner, was chosen to serve as its first MD/CEO (2005-2008).

Mr. Shahid Hafeez Kardar, a former governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, Group Captain Cecil Chaudhry, a national hero, Ms. Shaista Pervez Malik, and Mr. Khalid Ikhlaq Gilani, PAS, Secretary of the Department of School Education, made up the first board of directors.
