The largest and most prestigious academic institution in Turkiye, Bursa Uludag Üniversitesi (BUU), and the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST-Pakistan) have signed a multifaceted agreement.

The NUST delegation travelled to Bursa on April 10, 2023, to formally signify the partnership under the leadership of Dr. Rizwan Riaz, Pro-Rector Research, Innovation & Commercialization.

BUU, which has about 70,000 students and is situated in the historic city of Bursa, is close to Turkiye’s thriving high-tech sector. The university actively supports Bursa, which is home to the largest automotive industry in the nation.

A public research university with multiple campuses, the National University of Sciences & Technology has its main campus in Islamabad, Pakistan.

As part of the recently formed partnership, NUST students will have access to knowledge of BUU, leading academic institution in Turkiye and cutting-edge resources in a variety of academic and research fields, including automotive, health sciences, food science, and agriculture.

Additionally, the agreement will encourage cooperation between the two institutions and permit team research initiatives and academic exchanges. The rector of BUU, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saim Kilavuz, expressed excitement about cooperating closely with NUST to foster interpersonal relationships and exchange knowledge regarding the creation of simulation centres for the automotive and medical sciences.

The agreement highlights NUST’s commitment to advancing international partnerships and collaborations and is a significant step towards enhancing academic and research ties between NUST and BUU.

In Bursa, Turkey, there is a public research university called Bursa Uluda University. The university focuses its research and instruction on the fields of international relations, medicine, engineering, natural and social sciences, and the arts.

The university has 6 departments that fall under the presidency, 11 faculties, 1 undergraduate school, 12 vocational schools, 1 conservatoire, 3 institutes, and 11 research centres. The university had 74,822 students enrolled during the 2017–2018 academic year.
