In order to attract potential domestic and foreign customers, a young Pakistani entrepreneur displayed Basmati rice, pinenuts, and pure honey of his nation’s imports at the Haikou Fullsing Internet Industrial Park in Hainan Province of China.

Waheed Yaseen, Operational Director, Hainan Raman Technology told media on Monday that the company imports Basmati rice, pine nuts, and pure honey from Pakistan and sells them to both domestic and international customers.

Haikou Fullsing Internet Industrial Park, one of the 13 key parks in Hainan Free Trade Port, is positioned to build the Hainan Digital Free Trade Port pilot zone, digital economy headquarters gathering zone and international offshore innovation demonstration zone, with a digital economy industry.

Due to the benefits of the incentives and facilities provided by the local government, many local and foreign businesses have established their offices and display centres in the park.

Waheed Yaseen revealed that he had founded his business in the park with other partners in order to market Pakistani goods to nearby consumers.

He claimed that while his business sells Basmati rice to foreign customers in Hainan and other regions of China, the demand for pinenuts and unadulterated honey among Chinese consumers is very high.

Developing digital trade, the smart Internet of Things, financial technology, international innovation and headquarters economies, and human resources of the 4+2 industrial ecological chain are the main areas of focus for Haikou Fullsing Internet Industrial Park, according to a local government official.

The park has received recognition as a national centre for innovation and entrepreneurship in the fields of science and technology, as well as a base for the export of national culture. For students who have returned from abroad, it has also been listed as China Hainan Human Resources Service Industry and China (Haikou) Entrepreneurship Park.

Alibaba, ByteDance, Xiaomi Group, Schneider, Tesla, and other Fortune 500 companies are currently gathered in the park. The park’s revenue in 2021 was included in the “100 billion Yuan Club,” placing second among the 11 important parks evaluated by the Hainan Free Trade Port in 2021.
