Press release from the EgSA stated that the testing procedure’s preliminary stage was finished under the direction of a group from the Earth Observation and Data Centre of CSNA.

MisrSat-2 passed stage A, stage B, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests, and other subsystems tests at the Egyptian satellite AITC in Egypt two weeks prior to the testing confirmation.

According to a press release from the Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA), the MisrSat-2 has passed all tests by the joint team that was formed as a part of the technology transfer project between the Egyptian Space Agency and the Chinese government.

Press release from the EgSA stated that the testing procedure’s preliminary stage was finished under the direction of a group from the Earth Observation and Data Centre of the China National Space Agency (CSNA).

This task was completed successfully, which made it possible to proceed with the planned on-site testing and assembly of the Multi Transponder Mode (MTM) and Frequency Modulation (FM) experimental work on communication satellites.

The MisrSat-2 project, which is postponed until 2022, is an agreement to give Egyptian engineers and scientists the chance to gain project-specific experience in satellite design and integration while utilising Egyptian facilities.

Egypt will also be the first nation in Africa and the Arab world to have satellite assembly and testing capabilities upon completion of the MisrSat-2 project, greatly fostering industrial development in the nation.

Additionally, throughout the MisrSat-2 project, the Earth Observation and Data Centre will continue to offer management guidance, safety oversight, and communication and coordination guidance in collaboration with the Economic Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce. This will help to promote ongoing strategic cooperation between Egypt and China so that both parties can benefit.

The National Authority for Remote Sensing & Space Sciences (NARSS) was Egypt’s top space authority until the Egyptian Space Agency (EGSA) was established in January 2018.

Following Egypt’s successful bid to the African Union to host the EGSA in 2019, the EGSA headquarters are located in the Egyptian Space City, which also houses the headquarters of the African Space Agency (ASA). The EGSA is governed by the Egyptian government and the president oversees the majority of its executive decisions.
