Summer skills camps for students attending public high schools and colleges have been announced by the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA). To aid in the development of students’ skills, they will provide training in 14 different trades.

During the summer break, free three-month-long courses are intended to be made available. There are no tuition or application fees required for enrollment for either male or female students.

Recently, the Government Graduate College for Women Satellite Town (GGCWST) in Rawalpindi hosted a technical education awareness seminar. Several prominent people, including Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatta of the Rawalpindi Division, attended the seminar. Commissioner Chatta commended the government for starting this program and expressed his optimism that it would help students secure a better future.

In addition to reminding students that developed nations place a high value on technical education and training, he urged them to make the most of their summer breaks by learning new skills. He also emphasised the advantages of technical education for people’s financial security and that of their families.

Announcing that the Summer skills camps program would soon be implemented in Divisional Public Schools, he also acknowledged the important role that teachers play in inspiring students to pursue technical education.

A ceremony honouring and presenting students will be held at the program’s conclusion. To ensure the success of this initiative, Commissioner Chatta urged everyone to collaborate, stating that it needs the support and involvement of all.
