STAFF REPORT LHR: Students from across the Punjab province have presented research-based projects in various categories like biology, chemistry, computer sciences, mathematics and physics at a science fair recently held in the city.Over 190 students and 57 teachers from the province registered in the fair with a total of 151 projects.

The winners will be eligible to compete at the National Science Fair, which will take place in Islamabad early next year.Projects will be assessed by a panel of renowned judges, with winners eligible to compete at the 2015 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.

“Intel has sponsored the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) for almost two decades now, and each year we witness tremendous youth talent flowing from all over the world,” said Naveed Siraj, country manager for Intel Pakistan.He said that ISEF is a great platform for youth both academically and socially, as they interact with each other during mixers and ceremonies, which helps them gain confidence and valuable experience.
