Staff Reporter ISD: The Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) and Embassy of France in Pakistan explored opportunities of collaboration in joint research projects to strengthen science and technology base in Pakistan. The basic aim of this meeting was to identify priorities and common interests of Pakistan and France in the field of science. Both sides discussed cooperation in joint research projects and post-doctorate scholarship programs.
Dr. Ashraf briefed the Schwerer, Scientific and Higher Education Attache, Embassy of France, about PSF broad scope for international collaboration and told that the foundation works for development and promotion of science in schools right from primary to higher secondary level, higher education institutions such as universities and centers of excellence as well as RandD organizations. He also requested for the cooperation for PSFs program to improve the science labs in rural area schools.
