STAFF REPORT ISB: Mobilink, leading player in telecom sector of Pakistan has decided to upgrade its countrywide optical network to 100 Gigabytes/second (Gbps). The upgraded Optical Transport Network (OTN) will be the only of its kind in Pakistan. Huawei has been formally been awarded the contract of this venture. This upgradation will provide the subscribers an increased bandwidth, reliability and improved communication experience.

The 100Gbps OTN will be deployed across a long haul fiber network on a nationwide basis which will enable Mobilink in fulfilling the ever growing data and speed requirements of subscribers and re-announcing its status of leader in the industry.
