STAFF REPORT LHR: The climate change is one of top rated challenges of Pakistan and awareness to communities must be disseminated at optimum level to make a resilient strategy to combat this copious challenge. A workshop in the wake of Climate Change adaptation was recently organized by Individualland in which experts, environmental scientists, researchers, and stakeholders participated in large number.


The purpose of the workshop was to identify the available options and exchange ideas in order to productively utilize the available resources to effectively mollify the climate change adverse impacts. The emphasis was categorically made on media outlets and journalists to highlight this issue more vibrantly to sensitize the policy makers on this challenge.


Farhan Anwar, a Climate Change researcher was the resource person at the workshop. He said while addressing on the occasion, “Climate change phenomenon is occurring at so unpredictable rate that one minute it is hot and suddenly it starts to rain heavily due to which the weather becomes quite cold. The current floods in the province of Punjab are an example of this due to which thousands of people have become homeless and there is a dire need to address this challenge through effective policy measures”.
