KARACHI: Prof. Atta-ur- Rahman, former Federal Minister for Science and Technology, will
open four-day Global Biotechnology Congress 2016 in Boston, USA
An official of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS),
University of Karachi, said that this conference provides a platform for researchers and decision
makers to present latest findings and learn about developments in biotechnology.
Many Nobel laureates and experts will participate in the conference, which is 4th in the series, he
added.
The conference will cover transnational nature of biotechnological research, with emphasis on
both basic science and its applications in industry and academia.
Throughout the course of the conference, scientists will have the opportunity to both network
and hear leaders from the international academic and corporate biotechnology communities, it
was pointed out.
