STAFF REPORT IBD: Pakistan can overcome the electricity crisis through solar energy in near future and the government should consult with the experts of solar energy to generate solar energy.
These remarks were expressed by Niaz Kathia in an interview with a radio channel here last week. He said that the country can meet energy needs from available electricity resources through using quality electric appliances.
“We are wasting 80 per cent electricity due to inefficient electric appliances,” he said adding the government should consult with the experts of solar energy to generate solar energy and its equipments, besides involving financial institutions like banks for the provision of loans to the people to get prepared solar energy plants. He mentioned many things with proud that Pakistan manufactured the cheapest atom bomb and made many achievements in the field of science. Likewise, Pakistani scientists can overcome energy crisis through solar energy.
He asked the media to create awareness in the masses for the preservation of available 80 percent energy.
