STAFF REPORT FBD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) in collaboration with a German firm will set up a 500-kilowatt solar power project at its campus.

According to details, a detailed joint meeting has recently been held between the German firm and the UAF. The German Solar Energy Firm will also provide technical assistance to run the project successfully.

“Germany has great potential to transfer renewable energy technology to various countries,” said Head of German Delegation Fritz Bohmler while talking to the university scientists during the meeting.

Meanwhile, al high level meeting was also held a high-level meeting in Lahore to set up solar energy units in across the province. Prof. Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad, the Dean Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, briefed the delegation about the innovative solutions of the UAF to cope with energy and water crisis.
