STAFF REPORT ISB: The 30 windmill energy extends, that will create 1760 MW power, are being scrutinized by Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB), said Ministry of Water and Power.


An investment of more than one billion dollars has been made in wind energy segment amid the most recent two years, to construct 30 wind energy ventures with 1760 MW limit. Another three wind energy activities of 149.5 MW power have as of now accomplished business operation and are supplying power to national lattice.


As indicated by an announcement the administration is taking fundamental measures for advancement of renewable energy and different tasks are being executed in coordinated effort of the private segment.


In the interim in the solar based energy division, thirty-one ventures with 999.6 MW generation capacities have been started. Aside from this around 1500 to 2000 MW of biomass energy is required to be produced in the following three years.


The alternate energy is can account for cost effectiveness and sustainable development by adding sufficient power to the national grid.
