AKU ranked globally in clinical medicine, public health

Pakistan’s prevailing Aga Khan University (AKU) has been ranked globally for teaching clinical medicine among the top 100 and public health among the leading 200 universities worldwide.

AKU ranked globally in clinical medicine, public healthThe Aga Khan University (AKU) among top 200 universities was accumulated by the Academic Ranking of World Universities by the latest Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2019.

In the statement, the University stated revealed that Aga Khan University (AKU) was the only university in Pakistan to be placed among the top 500 universities of the world in teaching clinical medicine and public health education.

In clinical medicine, the university mounted from the 151-200 group to the 76-100 group and secured a spot in the 151-200 group in public health. Aga Khan University secured the ranking because of an increase in the number of research papers published and indexed in major research citations.

Aga Khan Varsity President Firoz Rasul stated that “This international ranking is recognition of AKU as a role model for health and education in the developing world.”

Dr Adil Haider, the dean of AKU’s medical college throw light on global ranking of AKU. He stated that “Our clinical investigations are very closely linked to teaching to innovate for better healthcare and to research for creating new knowledge.”
