Al-Farabi Research Complex inaugurated at IIUI

Al-Farabi Research Complex open at new campus of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) and inaugurated by the Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood.

The Research Complex comprised of three centers including, Business incubation Centre, Centre for Advanced Electronics & Photovoltaic Engineering and Sulaiman Bin Abdullah Aba Al-Khail – Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Science (SA-CIRBS).

Minister for Federal Education highlights that the country was facing youth lump and government’s prime focus is to make use of energies of youth. It was among top priorities to not only educate the youth but also provide them skills required by the industry.

The Pakistani universities must need to establish such kind of centers where experts of various subjects under one roof. He vowed that the ministry will keep patronage constructive projects launched by IIU.

IIU Rector Dr. Masoom Yasinzai said Science and technology is a new phenomenon and it is the time to bring experts of various disciplines in a uniformed place to find solutions to the problem. “We must find home-grown solutions to indigenous problems.”He hoped soon Al Farabi complex will be able to concentrate on the current challenges of the country.

The IIU President Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh also addressed the ceremony and said that Al-Farabi center was sign of universities vision of internationalization.

University was dedicated to collaborate nationally and international to have advancements in research and to find solutions to the contemporary challenges. He declares that International Islamic University will keep working on productive projects in the beam of vision of education ministry.
