Prime Minister Imran Khan on 5th April laid the foundation of Al-Qadir University in Sohawa near Jhelum to impart education in line with the ideology of Pakistan.
The university has been named after Abdul Qadir Jilani, who had linked science and spirituality. Spirituality a super science; that needs Islamic research.
Imran Khan outlining the vision of Al-Qadir University, he said that it would not only impart education in modern science and technology but will also educate students in matters of spirituality.
The ultimate aim of the university is to produce scholars who will materialize as leaders of tomorrow and will contradict the western influence and negative misinformation against Islam.
In order to perk up Islamic research an emphasis on Sufism is required to educate our youth in meeting future challenges.
Moreover, the laid university is not being established through government funds but will kick off through private fundraising and run on NUML’s university model.
