STAFF REPORT IBD: Pakistan and Argentina can enhance cooperation in agriculture and Halal meat sectors to get mutually beneficial results, said Rodolfo Martin Saravia, the Argentine Ambassador, while addressing business community at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).


He said that Argentine could transfer modern technology to Pakistan for quality meat production since the country has strength in the field.


He said Argentina could send its experts to help Pakistan reap its full potential in Halal meat sector.


The ambassador also said that his country could also support Pakistan with technology and expertise to increase per acre yield in agriculture.


He said that his embassy would offer full cooperation in connecting Pakistani with Argentinean counterparts. He said Pakistani business community could witness Argentinas food technology, machinery and food packaging and processing expertise at the annual expo being held in Dubai.


In his remarks, ICCI President Shaban Khalid said Pakistan has quality labour and good agricultural land, while Argentina has advanced technology and expertise.


Therefore, both the countries should explore joint ventures in agriculture field to complement each other, he said.
