STAFF REPORT KHI: The Bahria University Karachi Campus has recently hosted a three-day international event titled “17th IEEE International Multi-topic Conference” at its Karachi Campus.

The conference, a joint-venture between IEEE and Bahria University, was aimed at discussing and presenting the latest advancements and technical solutions in the field of Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications Engineering and Information Technology.

The conference is being regularly held in Pakistan under the flag of IEEE since 1997 on yearly basis at different institutions and has become one of the mega events in Pakistan for University Students and Researchers in the field of Science and Technology, in general, and Engineering in particular.

A large number of academicians, researcher and students attended the conference.

Admiral Shahid Karimullah NI (M), SJ, while opening the ceremony emphasized on educational institutions to embark upon the platform of research and innovation in order to meet future challenges.

Rector Bahria University Vice Admiral (Retd) Shahid Iqbal HI(M) welcomed the participants and thanked Higher Education Commission and other sponsors for their support.

During the conference, as many as 100 papers were read. A separate PhD symposia was also orgnanized on the sidelines of the conference. Various international speakers from USA, Spain, China, Sri Lanka and Romania spoke during plenary sessions.
