The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) had issued directives last year to all banks either commercial or financial to verify the bank account of their customers.

As, last year many Pakistani banks becomes the victim of hacked account. Considering this, the banks followed the directives of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to save from drastically situation.

Standard Chartered, Meezan Bank, (Habib Bank Limited) HBL, United Bank Limited (UBL), Bank Al Habib and Bank Alfalah has launched apps for biometric verification of customers.

Several banks via SMS notify their customers to verify the account by biometry as after the due date of 30th June bank accounts are suspended.

Standard Chartered bank account holders can now verify their biometrics by simply using the ‘SC PK biometric’ app. As of now, Bank Alfalah has also launched a mobile application for biometric verification of its customers.

Keeping in line the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) directives Meezan bank has launched a new mobile application entitled as ‘Meezan Bank Biometric Verification App‘; that will enable customers to carry out their Biometric Verification from home.

Moreover, Habib Bank (HBL) also started its mobile app biometry for its valued customers to provide ease of access.
